I’m Marina Acero, a graphic designer and children’s illustrator based in Barcelona.
For the past ten years, I’ve been working in editorial design, especially in the layout of educational books for children aged 3 to 16, while also shaping my own path as an author and illustrator.
I’m passionate about creating fully authored projects, where words and images find their own space and speak to each other. My stories are often inhabited by small characters with big emotions—creatures that move between tenderness, humour, and imagination.
I work with traditional techniques—gouache, watercolour, crayons, and coloured pencils—which allow me to bring texture and life to the ideas that emerge in my sketchbook.
